Senior Product Designer

Job Description

Twine is seeking a Senior Product Designer to help build an ambitious consumer financial product. We’re looking for well-rounded candidates from any number of digital design disciplines, including UI/UX, visual design, interaction design and product design.

This is an exciting time to join Twine. Our product is new to market and we’re iterating fast. We have a great startup culture and the backing of a Global 500 company. Please check out Twine for iOS and read our launch manifesto.

  • 3+ years design experience.
  • Consumer product experience.
  • Strong UX skills.

  • A proven design process. Work through design problems from start to end: translate consumer insights into ideas, think through the user journey and turn concepts into workflows, detailed interactions and innovative new features. Sketch and prototype ideas to quickly access feasibility. Iterate based on feedback. Work closely with engineers through discovery and implementation.
  • Respect for data and users. We are building a culture of data-informed design and frequent user testing. You should have experience running experiments, synthesizing data and producing insights.
  • A passion for user delight. This is a high-profile product for a Fortune 500 brand. We aspire to push the boundaries of User Interface design and care deeply about the details.
  • No coding required. We let the engineers handle the engineering.
  • A love for systems thinking. Our product makes complex financial matters feel simple and effortless. This is not easy. You will need to consider and manage interrelated legal, compliance and technology constraints when approaching design problems. This makes building abstractions and reusable components especially challenging and exciting.
  • You’ll need to quickly come up to speed on a complex and confusing industry (consumer savings and investing). Become an expert so you can challenge legacy concepts and invent new solutions.
  • Act as a design thought leader, collaborate with other designers to improve their work and ultimately make the whole team better.
