We are seeking a Program Manager that will lead the delivery and execution of projects and initiatives within Twine. This role will facilitate alignment of resources and activities to carry out projects within Twine and with external partners when needed. The Program Manager will act as a liaison and facilitator between Twine and the key enablement functions within John Hancock/Manulife: Compliance, Legal, Risk, Investment Committee, Operations, etc.


  • Own and drive initiative level project plans and ensure accountability across initiatives to maintaining scope and timelines
  • Track projects and initiatives, establishing measurement criteria to monitor execution/performance, identifying deficiencies, and providing actionable solutions
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and support project initiatives throughout Twine as needed
  • Collaborate closely with all business functions and stakeholders, including product, design, engineering, marketing, data, operations, investment committee, compliance, legal, etc, to ensure alignment
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously. Scope and frequency of projects will vary.
  • Identify, manage and balance similar or competing interests of the various Twine departments and other stakeholders
  • Ensure successful integration between the various workgroups to ensure deliverables are met
  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve program management practices and methodologies; ensure appropriate processes are being utilized
  • Build relationships across Twine, John Hancock and Manulife organization to help advance Twine initiatives
  • Other duties and projects as assigned


  • 7+ years of experience, at least 5 years of project or program management experience
  • Organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to be both cooperative and collaborative while understanding when assertive and directive behavior is required
  • Strong negotiation skills to accommodate the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Advanced ability to communicate with senior levels of management and company personnel
  • Proven ability to exercise flexibility and judgement in assessing business issues and risks in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to identify necessary project resources and obtain the proper levels of support from both technical and user communities
  • Ability to present complex ideas clearly, manage the complexities of implementing and integrating new business processes and technologies, and influence individuals across business and functional boundaries to achieve objectives
  • Effective working under pressure
  • Passion for creative thinking and innovation and a high degree of comfort with ambiguity
